This weekend, the long awaited Cuban engineers arrived in the Free State amidst high anticipation of the role and impact their services will make on Government’s quest to improve services,, construction of mainly Government subsidies Human Settlements, Community residential units, provision of water, planning and project management, sewerage and bulk infrastructure basic services supply services are some for the focus areas of the work to be done by these engineers.
The ANC in the Free State joins the rest of the country, the continent, the progressive people and rest of the world to condemn the attacks and killing of foreign nationals in our country.
On this day, 05 May in 2003, Founder member of the ANC Youth League, Former Deputy President of the ANC, Isithwalandwe/Seaparankoe Comrade Walter Sisulu died.

The by-elections was held in Ward 3 of Letsemeng and Ward 16 of Matjhabeng as a result of ANC Councillors who passed away last year.
