ANC calls for war on racism

The African National Congress calls on all South Africans to declare war on racism and for political parties to refrain from undermining democracy through calls that undermine a democratic outcome. The uninformed call that President Zuma must fall are a ploy to divert a real conversation on racism that finds expression in the comments of a minority belonging to a particular party that is intent of achieving the impossible return to a racist past.

Good evening to you all.

It is a great pleasure to be with you on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the formation of the African National Congress.

As the oldest liberation movement on the continent, the ANC continues to carry the hopes and aspirations of the people of this country.

ANC statement on the election of KZN Provincial Officials

The ANC Provincial Conference of KwaZulu-Natal has progressed well following intense and highly contested PEC leadership. All processes leading to the nomination and eventually the election of the Provincial Officials were characterized by generally notable discipline and adherence to conlference rules. The NEC also had to confront ill discipline characterized by conduct of filibustering by some delegates. Those who sang divisive songs were called to order and instructed not to do so.

ANC Women's League New Leadership

The African National Congress Women's League elected last night the organisation's National Officials following a contested nomination of the top five positions at the ANC Women's League 12th National Conference. The delegates to Conference concluded on the following comrades to serve as the National Officials of the ANC Women's League:


In another historic by-election, held just four days before the ANC in Free State holds its crucial Elections Strategy Workshop, the ANC won a Moqhaka by-election with a landslide victory. The ANC in Free State is pleased with the outcome of the 03 June 2015 by-election held in Kroonstad, where ANC won by about 80% of the votes.  



Africa day celebrates the day when organization of Africa Unity (OAU), the precursor to the Africa Union (AU), was formed in 1963. It acknowledges the progress that we, as Africans, have made, while reflecting upon the common challenges we face in a global environment.
